Fiber Laser


To boost our capacity in stainless steel fabrication for the food services industry, Albers has invested in the latest technology in flat sheet metal cutting technology known as a Fiber Optic Laser, cutting metal at roughly 400 inches per minute.

How It Works

Laser light created in the resonator is transferred flawlessly by a fiber optic cable to the surface of the sheet metal. The cutting process begins when laser light and nitrogen assist gas are focused on the material. With the help of proven CNC tables all axes are controlled precisely and parts are processed without the need for manual intervention. The cutting process is done with higher quality compared to other options. A “clean cut” surface quality is obtained.

Reflective materials like aluminum, copper and brass can be cut with ease and excellent surface quality is obtained maintained on mild steel up to 20 mm or .79 inches thick.
